COG is pleased to announce that Dr. Cathy Reback, along with Co-Investigators Drs. Jan Gryczynski and Steven Carswell, and Statistician/Project Director Dr. Jesse Fletcher, has received a grant award from the National Institutes of Health – National Institute on Drug Abuse entitled “Mobile App Targeting Meth Use, HIV Sex Risks, & ART Adherence for Gay/Bisexual Men.” This study is a Phase I, Small Business Technology Transfer award that seeks to conduct formative work to assist in the development of a culturally competent and consumer responsive computerized app for gay/bisexual methamphetamine-using men. The app is designed to reduce methamphetamine use and HIV sexual risk behaviors and to increase antiretroviral therapy (ART) medication adherence.
